HDC2000B

Multiformat Camera System

Sony is pleased to introduce the HDC-2000B (Black color body) HD studio hard camera system. The HDC-2000 is a successor model of the HDC-1000 including HDC-1000RLD (3G model). Incredible picture performance and features are realized by incorporating newly developed 16-bit A/D, Digital-Signal-Processing (LSI) and new image-sensors. A remarkable signal-to-noise ratio of 64 dB can be achieved when Noise Suppression (NS) is applied. The current system such as HDC-1000/1500/1400 series camera and HCUs can be used with this new camera system , also existing accessories such as MSU-1000/1500, RCPs, VFs can be used with this new camera system.

Highlights:

  • Newly developed 2/3-inch progressive CCD
  • Newly developed LSI (16bits A/D)
  • 3G transmission
  • 1080/60p/50p, 1080i/720p and all Psf signal format and R.G.B 444
  • 2X slow-motion
  • Ergonomic design
  • Enhanced creative features including Multi-Matrix, Adaptive matrix, Skin-Tone Detail, Hyper Gamma
  • View Finder Focus assist, and Automatic lens aberration compensation

Features                                                            Benefits:
3G digital optical transfer HDC-2000 supports standard 3G digital optical transfer via optical fiber cable between the camera and camera control unit.
3G fiber transmission unit HDC-2000 includes a standard fiber transmission unit, allows the following possible system configurations: - Fiber transmission system for dual link/single link format (high-bitrate signal transmission) - COAXIAL connection system for single link format over dual coaxial cables - Dual camera system - Sub-camera system (This is available only when the main camera control unit is an HDCU-2000 or an HDCU-1000LD model or HDCU-1000 with an optional HKCU-HB10 3G fiber transmission unit. This function can be used in conjunction with an HDC1000R/1500R/1400/1500 and HDC-P1 that does not have a 3G fiber transmission unit installed.)
2× slow motion recording 1080/50i (×2)-59.94i (×2) and 720/50P (×2)-59.94P (×2) 2× slow-motion recording are supported standard on HDC-2000
Multi-matrix and Adaptive Matrix In addition to the 6-axis matrix function, the camera has a multi-matrix function that permits to adjust the hue and chroma for color components in 16-axis directions independently. This is quite useful in color matching among multiple cameras. Adaptive Matrix is allow to compress saturated color from color saturated objects to make it looks normal ( especially using under blue lighting on blue objects)
Skin-tone detail This function allows adjustment (emphasis or suppression) of the detail level for a specific hue or chroma area in the image, such as human skin tones.
Natural Skin-tone-detail HDC-2550 features the natural skin detail function, which allows for adjustment of the detail gate signal, allowing even more vivid distinction of areas like skin that you want to make smooth while selectively keeping areas like eyebrows that don’t require smoothing.
Selection of multiple gamma tables Seven types of standard and four types of hyper gamma table are featured. The hyper gamma values enable cinema-like image creation with wide dynamic range.
Knee saturation Hue and chroma in highlighted areas can be adjusted to reproduce natural human skin tones under strong lighting.
Low key saturation Saturation in low-key zones can be compensated.
Position-adjustable shoulder pad The position of the shoulder pad can be adjusted for stable shooting according to the build of the camera operator.
Auto lens aberration compensation The Auto Lens H and V Aberration Compensation (ALAC) function automatically reduces chromatic aberration of magnification when a lens that supports auto aberration compensation is attached.
Focus assist functions Various functions are provided for the VF detail signal, which can be added only on images on the viewfinder screen, in order to facilitate focusing, as follows: - Coloring the VF detail signal - Thickening the VF detail signal - Automatically compensating for the VF detail level according to zoom position - Focus assist indicator. The focusing level indicator in the viewfinder provides a guide for focusing. The best focus setting can be easily obtained.
